NDV Ultrasonic

Pleasure boats large and small

For pleasure boating, we have developed special High-Frequency Ultrasonic Transducers that are glued to the inside of the hull.

We calculate 11 meters of underwater hull per Transducer; if the underwater hull is longer than 11 meters, a second Transducer will be added, and we continue this calculation according to the length of the boat.

The Transducers are connected to a control box that operates them. The control box can be placed anywhere; usually, we look at how the cables are routed and determine the position of the box accordingly.

This control box requires a 230V power supply (shore power) to operate, but don't worry, since it must always be on when you are docked, the Transducer only consumes 6 Watts, which is very little.

There is also an option to use a power distributor that can automatically switch between 12V-24V and 230V, in case shore power is not always available in the marina or at the mooring.

If it switches to the battery, there is also a safety feature that turns off the device when the voltage drops below 11.8V, to prevent the device from draining the battery.

We always supply the special glue that must be used to attach the transducers; other adhesives are strictly forbidden, as our glue allows the High-Frequency Ultrasound to pass through, while other glues block it, causing the installation not to work.

The installation is easy to do yourself; once that's done, we can perform the inspection to grant your warranty.

We can also equip the propeller shaft with a slip ring to keep your propeller clean.

This is a separate installation, independent from the Transducers we use for your hull.
